BIRD CRAZY!!!! What are we saying? Put a title on them for me. I'm lost!I stamped the images in VERSAFINE ONYX BLACK INK then heat set withRANGER SUPERFINE CLEAR embossing powder. I then covered the birds withFINELINE MASKING FLUID PEN with a superfine tip. Let it dry. Watercolorthe background. Splash color on any way you desire as the MASKING FLUIDcreates a waterproof barrier over the bird images. Let dry. Then withyour finger, roll off masking fluid from the birds and water colorthem. I used a variety of RANGER DISTRESS INKS smooshed onto my craftmat and painted with a WATER BRUSH, med size tip. Let dry. Add WINK OFSTELLA to birds eyes. Mat onto black paper then use an orange cardbase. The finished size of my card is 3 1/2" x 8 3/4". I will need tomake an envelope for it with the WE ARE MEMORY KEEPERS ENVELOPE PUNCHBOARD.

The stamps for this card are from TIM HOLTZ COLLECTION FOR STAMPERS ANONYMOUS.

LEGO BIRTHDAY CARD. I CASE'd this from Linda Aarhus at polkadotsandpaper.net. I changed a couple things. I used a DOT EMBOSSING FOLDER from THE PAPER STUDIO for my Lego blocks. The sentiments are from SSS "BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES" & "LUNCHBOX NOTES" stamp sets. Ink used is STUDIO CALICO- COLOR THEORY IN "SOMETHING BLUE". The YOU ROCK sentiment and the red Lego block are popped up with foam tape. My Grandson is really into Legos and his birthday is in May so for once I'm ahead on birthday cards! Hope he likes it as much as I do! Thanks LINDA for the inspiration.

QUICK Birthday Card. The sentiment & pink paper are from SSS APRIL 2015 CARD KIT. The stamp set is called "BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES". I embossed the pink paper with an embossing folder from SIZZIX VINTAJ COLLECTION #658803. It has 2 small embossing folders and 2 sizes of steel butterfly dies in it. SSS ULTRA FINE GOLD embossing powder was used on sentiment. I added foam tape to pop up pink gift box piece. I used gold/white ribbon from STAMPIN UP for the bow on gift box. Such an easy card to make!

Sailor Man. I inked a wood grain embossing folder with RANGER "GATHERED TWIGS" DISTRESS INK, inserted paper and ran through my BIG SHOT. I deepened the color by distressing the paper with more GATHERED TWIGS DISTRESS INK. I cut two different sizes of flag banners out of patterned paper for one and white for the other then distressed with the GATHERED TWIGS DISTRESS INK. I ripped places and folded them then distressed again with same ink. The flag banner dies are from STAMPIN UP. I stamped the sentiment in ARCHIVAL INK "fern green" onto white paper and cut out with a circle die. I distressed it with the same GATHERED TWIGS ink. I added brads to the corners of the paper, added foam tape to the circle sentiment piece and added on top of the glued down banners. I attached this whole piece to a piece of dark green cardstock and added that to the brown card base.

STAMP, TAPE, EMBOSS.....DONE! This easy card uses SSS APRIL 2015 CARD KIT SUPPLIES plus some SSS ULTRA FINE GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER. The stamp set from the kit is called "BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES". Start with a white card base, stamp candles in various colors, add washi tape at top and bottom, gold emboss sentiments and add some WINK OF STELLA (if desired) to the candle flame. DONE!! #SSSFAVE

Watercolor Hydrangea. I stamped HERO ARTS "Hydrangea" wood mount stamp in RANGER ARCHIVAL "Fern Green" pigment ink onto watercolor paper. I smooshed RANGER DISTRESS INKS IN "Abandoned coral, Mermaid Lagoon ,Dusty Concord and Shabby Shutters" onto my craft mat the used a RANGER water brush to pick up color and paint it onto the stamped image. I cut it out with MFT STEEL DIES " IN & OUT STITCHED, ROUNDED SQUARES" die (3rd one from largest). I used the same die set to cut another piece of patterned paper from STAMPINUP. I attached that piece to a white card base that had been sprinkled with the LOST LAGOON watercolor mixture. I cut a few feet of copper metallic thread and positioned on coral layer and used a piece of tape to secure. I added foam tape to the Watercolored Hydrangea piece and attached over the copper threads. I cut two strips of white paper and colored with the LOST LAGOON ink so they would match the background. I stamped the sentiment in VERSAMARK and added RANGER SUPER FINE WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER then heat set. I cut banner ends and popped up with foam tape. I used RANGER "ICE STICKLES IN CRYSTAL ICE" glitter glue for some sparkle on flowers, banners and a couple places on the card. The white cardbase edges were rounded off with a 1/2" Corner Rounder from WE ARE MEMORY KEEPERS.

Embossed Background. This is a very easy card to make. I used MFT "DAMASK BACKGROUND" stamp and SSS "ULTRA FINE GOLD" EMBOSSING POWDER. I masked off the sentiment area first. I used BUTTERFLY PUNCHES FROM STAMPINUP. Added black gems on butterflies and attached it to a piece of black cardstock.

Watercolor stamping. I used MAMA ELEPHANT "Water Blooms" and colored with RANGER DISTRESS MARKERS then spritzed very lightly with water and stamped onto watercolor paper. I die cut it with SSS STITCHED CIRCLES largest DIE. Use a piece of BAZZIL "candy hearts" color CARDBASE and die cut along the bottom edge with MY FAVORITE THINGS "Happy" die. Glue a piece of white card stock to the front inside panel so the HAPPY will stand out. Glue watercolored circle piece onto front, add a few sequins and WINK OF STELLA on flowers & HAPPY. The sentiment on the inside is a die cut BIRTHDAY.

Watercolor Anniversary Card. The March 2015 UNITY SMAK KIT has some pretty cool stamps. Graphic in style. I stamped the background in ARCHIVAL "watering can" permanent, waterproof ink onto water color paper. Then smushed RANGER DISTRESS INKS (mermaid lagoon, scattered straw & mustard seed) onto my craft mat and spritzed both the ink & the paper with water then dabbed it on in various places over the stamped image. I did the same thing to a tag after I embossed it with RANGER SUPERFINE DETAIL BLACK embossing powder. I put foam tape on back of tag and tied a bow at the top then attached to watercolored piece then attached that to a piece of SIMON SAYS STAMP SLATE GRAY CARDBASE. The sentiments are from PENNY BLACK "LIFES MESSAGES" and the H.A. Sentiment I have no idea of the manufacturer. Sorry about that. Some tiny rhinestones separate the sentiments.

Die cuts galore! Stamp a background stamp onto any color paper then punch or die cut the flowers and do the same with a vase die. I'm sorry that I don't have the name of any of these dies as I made this so very long ago. I know the vase is SPELLBINDERS "FILIGREE VASE" die.

SSS April 2015 Card Kit. #SSSFAVE. I die cut a piece of the gold embossed paper included in this months kit. I'm sorry that I have no idea of the name of the die. I used a 1/2" corner rounder on all corners. I heat embossed a black strip of paper with RANGER "SUPERFINE GOLD". I cut banner edges on it and glued to front panel. Next I used the back of the die cut piece and heat embossed with SSS "ULTRA FINE" BLACK. Added the 2 gold star brads, which are in the kit. The top panel has foam tape and attached to sentiment piece. Very simple card to make!

Shaker card. #SSSFAVE. The Simon Says Stamp April 2015 Card Kit has some interesting stuff! I started by using SSS "STITCHED RECTANGLES" die to cut the window out of the pink cardstock included in the kit. I added a window sheet and two layers of foam tape. I used the PINK FRESH STUDIOS patterned tape included in the kit and used two strips across the mint green cardstock also in the kit. I stamped the sentiment from SSS "BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES" stamp set also in the kit. I inked it with VERSAMARK and heat set RANGER "MAGENTA" EMBOSSING POWDER. I glued a couple gold sequins in the corner so they would stay there and not fall to the bottom with the other sequins. I put a few strips of the patterned tape onto white paper then die cut 3 balloons from LIL INKER DESIGNS "BALLOONS" die set. I attached some gold thread for strings then popped them up with foam tape onto a piece of the gold embossed paper included in the kit. Finally I attached the whole card front to a piece of pink card base. Oh and I used WINK OF STELLA on the balloons and around the pink frame. I LOVE SHAKER CARDS!

Watercolor & Embossed Mothers Day card. I started with a piece of watercolor paper and ran the embossing powder tool over the paper so the embossing powder would not stick to any area of the card that was not embossed. I used UNITY STAMP COMP "OURSELVES" stamp set from the Jan 2015 SMAK KIT. I used RANGER "LIQUUD PLATINUM" color to emboss the image. Heat set. Then I used ZIG CLEAN COLOR REAL BRUSH PENS to watercolor. These are so easy to use! Just paint on a little color and use a water brush to pull the color into lighter shades. I used SSS "STITCHED RECTANGLES" to cut a frame out of GINA K DRSIGNS "PASSIONATE PINK" heavy base weight cardstock. I put a piece of clear window sheet over the frame opening and attached foam tape to the back. I dry embossed the edges of the pink frame. I attached the watercolor piece to a piece of white paper and spritzed it with TATTERED ANGELS GLIMMER MIST. I CAREFULLY ALIGNED THE PINK FRAME PIECE OVER THE WATERCOLOR PIECE AND SECURED. I cut a card base from GINA K DESIGNS "JELLYBEAN GREEN" cardstock and ran the front section through an embossing folder then attached the pink piece to the green base. The sentiments are from MAMA ELEPHANT "LOVELY MUMS" stamp set. I heat embossed them onto heavy vellum with RANGER SUPER FINE DETAIL "WHITE" EMBOSSING POWDER. I USED A ZIG GLUE PEN to attach the vellum and added rhinestones to hide the glue dots. I hope my mother enjoys this card! Happy Mothers Day to you all.

Watercolor Thank You Cards. Stamping done on MISTI STAMPING TOOL. See my previous post for complete instructions.

Our church is having a PRAISE IN PINK day soon so I made these Thank You cards for the silent auction. I love the freedom that watercoloring
gives!

Misti stamping with watercolors

The MISTI STAMPING TOOL is a great product, especially if you are making multiple cards with the same image. First, Lay watercolor paper in the corner of the MISTI STAMPING TOOL. Lay stamp FACE DOWN onto paper.
Close the front panel onto stamp.

Now your stamp is attached to MISTY. Make sure when you lift the door that you realign the paper for perfect stamping.
Use Versamark ink and White embossing powder and heat set sentiment.
Smoosh DISTRESS INKS onto craft mat and spritz with water. Wet the paper with water and add ink.
Mix a bit of perfect pearls with water and paint over dried watercolor for added shimmer.
I made this for a friend who lost his wife and gave me a purse and jewelry set of hers. What an honor. RIP Peggy.

Watercolor emboss resist. I started with Tim Holtz watercolor paper. Smooshed distress inks onto my craft mat. (Mermaid lagoon, faded jeans, abandoned coral & spiced marmalade). Spritz the inks and paper with water then use a brush to color in and mix colors. Heat set in between layers of color. I used white embossing powder for image (from Paper Artsy) first before adding the water coloring. Oops! Forgot to mention that first! Then I just added it to a piece of "In the Navy" cardstock from Gina K Designs. Her base weight cardstocks are 120lb. The BEST!!

Clustered stamping. I got this idea from Jennifer McGuire. I used HELLO stamps from various stamp sets and arranged them on my Fiskars stamp press. I stamped them in Simon Says Stamp MALIBLUE dye ink on a piece of white cardstock 4.5"x3-1/8". Make a card base 5-1/2x 4-1/4 from lightweight cardstock. Cut an opening with your trimmer to fit the stamped piece. I added some washi tape to the edges of the frame. Use WINK OF STELLA on the HAPPY die cut (from SIMON SAYS STAMP) and glue onto top of vellum. Glue or tape entire piece together then add it to a heavyweight white card base. Add enamel dots in corners.

I used white cardstock for the second one. I think I like it better.

Distressed wreath card. I started with PINK PAISLEY paper and used STAMPINUP's petite petals punches for flowers. Added distress ink in GATHERED TWIGS around edges of flowers. I die cut the leaves and distressed them in PEELED PAINT ink. I used the same patterned paper for the front panel and ripped it in a few places and used GATHERED TWIGS distress ink around the edges. I glued down the first layer of flower petals then used small cut pieces of dimensional's to pop up the rest of the petals and the top layer of leaf stems. Added WINK OF STELLA to the small top flowers and added a gem to the centers. The base cardstock is from GINA K DESIGNS in dark sage & Kraft.
